2. Core Technology: Robust Features Driving Superior Performance

High-Frequency Vertical Oscillation for Efficient Disruption

Powered by a high-frequency vertical oscillation mechanism, the system utilizes grinding beads directly inside centrifugal tubes to disrupt samples. The intense, high-frequency collisions between the sample and the grinding beads generate powerful shearing and impact forces. This completely breaks down tissues, enabling highly efficient separation and extraction of pristine DNA, RNA, and proteins. The vibration frequency can be flexibly adjusted within a range of 10-70 Hz (approx. 300-2100 times/min).

Deep Cryogenic Cooling: A New Era of Cold Grinding

To solve the common industry pain point where high-speed grinding generates heat and compromises sample biological activity, the SCIENTZ-48L integrates a built-in, highly efficient refrigeration compressor. It provides a continuous low-temperature environment throughout the entire process, dropping down to a minimum of -50 degrees Celsius. This effectively prevents degradation and inactivation of heat-sensitive substances like nucleic acids and proteins, making it exceptionally ideal for temperature-sensitive biological samples.

Intelligent Touchscreen Operation

The instrument is equipped with a user-friendly 5.7-inch or 7-inch color touchscreen for intuitive parameter setup. The built-in program controller can store up to 48 datasets. It supports automated settings for interval intervals, pause cycles, and total run times, allowing rapid retrieval of historical parameters to achieve standardized and reproducible experimental workflows.

Fully Enclosed System for Zero Cross-Contamination

The grinding process is executed within completely closed, disposable centrifugal tubes. Each sample is processed independently to prevent cross-contamination. For user safety, it features an electronic safety door lock and an open-lid auto-stop protection mechanism, ensuring the system only runs when the lid is securely closed. Furthermore, its whisper-quiet design minimizes ambient noise in the lab.

Multi-Functional and Highly Adaptable

The SCIENTZ-48L supports dry grinding, wet grinding, mixed grinding, and cryogenic homogenization.

  • Aluminum Adapters: Standard configuration includes 5 ml x 12 holes, 2 ml x 48 holes. Optional upgrades include 2 ml x 24 holes and grinding jars (10/15/25/50/100 ml).
  • Grinding Beads: Standard configuration includes diameter 3 mm and diameter 6 mm stainless steel beads. Optional upgrades include Zirconia, Tungsten Carbide, Agate, etc.

3. Proven Applications and Case Studies

  • Nucleic Acid Extraction: Rapid grinding of animal livers, plant leaves, and microbial cells for high-yield extraction of pristine DNA/RNA.
  • Protein Research: Low-temperature grinding of brain and muscle tissues to effectively preserve protein activity.
  • Pesticide Residue Testing: Simultaneous, rapid grinding of up to 48 fruit and vegetable samples to extract homogeneous liquids for mass spectrometry analysis.
  • Food Component Analysis: Fast homogenization of various food matrices and pharmaceutical tablets.
  • Environmental Monitoring: Efficient grinding and homogenization of environmental samples, including soil and sludge.
