What is the difference between a mixer and a blender?

Mixers (like the Kitchen Aid) use paddles and whisks to mix your stuff! Blenders usually use blades to cut stuff! The shape and motion can cause a mixing but it is not the designed use! Some blenders come with mixing attachments, but I doubt a mixer can blend!
