Different types of animal specimens have different production requirements, so you can only talk about the basic steps:
1) Preliminary finishing: remove the internal organs of the animal and remove the brain tissue with a small, inconspicuous incision;
2) preliminary dehydration with alcohol or formalin, the concentration of the liquid used should not be too large, so as to avoid rapid formation of a solidified layer on the skin surface;
3) performing quick freezing;
4) dehumidification;
5) In the last two processes, the specimen posture should be adjusted from time to time;
6) careful shaping;
7) Freeze-dried specimens are susceptible to insects. They should be kept in a place protected from light and sealed, and anti-corrosive drugs should be added around them.
Advantage
Drying can exclude more than 95-99% of water, so that the dried product can be preserved for a long time without deterioration.
