Freeze dryer is a technology and equipment that utilizes low-temperature and vacuum conditions to directly convert substances from liquid or solid to gas, while removing moisture and other solvents through processes such as evaporation and sublimation, while retaining the chemical and biological activity of raw materials.

Specifically, a freeze dryer typically consists of three main components: a freezer, a vacuum pump, and a heater. First of all, coolant is used to produce cooling capacity, so that the temperature of the material falls below the freezing point and forms a solid or gelled state. Then, the system is pumped into high vacuum and water and other solvents are removed from the frozen sample using sublimation method to achieve drying. Finally, as needed, heat the sample as necessary before the end of drying to completely dry and maintain the desired original activity.

Freeze drying machines can be widely used in fields such as medicine, food, cosmetics, and bioengineering. In the pharmaceutical industry, freeze-drying machines are widely used to manufacture high-value biological products such as drugs, cells, and vaccines. In the food industry, freeze-drying machines can preserve the original nutritional composition and taste of food, thereby extending its shelf life. In the cosmetics industry, freeze-drying machines can maintain good color and aroma of products. In the field of bioengineering, freeze-drying machines can prepare high-value biological products such as stem cells and enzymes.
