Freeze dryer is a commonly used drying equipment, mainly used to freeze and dry wet biological samples or substances, in order to extend storage time and maintain their chemical structure. The steps to use a freeze dryer are as follows:

1. Prepare the substance to be dried: Prepare the biological sample or substance to be freeze-dried and keep it in a moist state.

2. Place the substance to be dried into the freeze-drying machine: Place the prepared biological sample or substance into the freeze-drying machine, then close the equipment door, open the vacuum pump, and start setting the drying program.

3. Freezing: Set the temperature and start the freezing process. This process requires cooling the material to a very low temperature.

4. Vacuum drying: When the substance is in a frozen state and the vacuum pump is working, open the extraction valve and close the heater door. After a period of drying, the moisture inside the substance will gradually evaporate.

5. Stop vacuum: After the substance has been fully dried, the vacuum pump can be stopped and the drying chamber can be cleaned.

6. Restore room temperature: Only when the temperature in the drying room returns to room temperature can the equipment door be opened and the dried substance be removed.

When using a freeze-drying machine, the following aspects need to be noted:

1. Choose appropriate drying parameters: Different biological samples and substances require different drying parameters. Select appropriate parameters such as drying temperature, vacuum degree, and drying time based on actual needs.

2. Keep the equipment clean: Regular cleaning of the equipment can extend its service life and avoid equipment malfunction or poor drying effect caused by accumulated dust and impurities.

3. Avoid overload: The mass of the material dried by the freeze-drying machine each time should not exceed the equipment's load-bearing capacity, otherwise it may cause equipment overload and damage.

In summary, understanding the basic operating steps and precautions of freeze-drying machines can help users better use and maintain equipment, improve drying efficiency and sample quality.
