How to detect if the rotary evaporator is leaking

To check whether the rotary evaporator is leaking: pinch off all external vacuum hoses and observe the vacuum gauge on the instrument to keep it for five minutes. If there is a leak, check that the seals on each seal joint and the rotating shaft are valid. Conversely, the instrument is normally checked for vacuum pumps and vacuum lines.
