The Ministry of Environmental Protection's "Ultrasonic Extraction of Soil and Sediment Organic Matter" was officially implemented on April 1, 2018.

· This standard specifies ultrasonic extraction methods for extracting organic matter from soil and sediment.

· This standard applies to the extraction of semi-volatile organic compounds such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, phenols, phthalates and organochlorine pesticides in soils and sediments.

· This standard does not apply to the extraction of organic substances (such as organophosphorus pesticides) that are unstable under ultrasonic extraction conditions.
